Torrent de Pareis is the one hike on Mallorca that is genuinely hard. The gorge is 3 kilometers long, 200 meters deep, the route goes over large boulders, through narrow passages, and in some spots you need to climb. There are no markings and no trail in the usual sense, you follow the dry riverbed. At the end the gorge suddenly opens to the sea, the cove of Sa Calobra, and you stand there with wet shoes and a wide grin. Boats run from Port de Sóller to Sa Calobra and back (25 euros). Or the legendary serpentine road down (12 kilometers, 800 meters elevation, 12 hairpins). In summer there is a concert in the gorge (Concerts al Torrent). Never go alone, never in rain.
