Sa Foradada is the rock formation south of Deia with an 18-meter hole punched through its tip — Foradada means pierced. The mirador and walking path belong to the Son Marroig estate, the former summer house of Archduke Ludwig Salvator. From the parking on the Ma-10, a stony track drops 230 meters in three kilometers down to the headland. About an hour each way. There is a restaurant at the bottom that serves paella and is busy at sunset — booking is required. Empress Sissi visited her cousin the Archduke here, and her ship moored next to the rock. The trail is exposed, no shade, hard underfoot. Sunset is spectacular but the path back in the dark is not. Bring a torch, water, proper shoes.
