Santanyí is the Saturday market that shows up on every Mallorca list. Unlike Sineu it caters to visitors, so more crafts, ceramics, handmade jewelry and fewer sheep. That is fine, quality is good and the town itself is pretty (sandstone, Porta Murada, the old town wall). If you want to hit the beach after: Cala Santanyí is five minutes by car, Cala Llombards ten. Both small coves, both lovely. Arrive at nine (parking at the cemetery, free, five minute walk), by noon the market wraps up and restaurants fill for lunch.
