Binissalem is Mallorca's wine region (DO Binissalem since 1990), and Macià Batle is the bodega you cannot skip. Not because it is the best (that is debatable), but because it is the largest, best-organized, and runs the most tours. Book on the website, tour lasts one hour, costs 15-25 euros depending on tasting package. You see the tanks, the barrels, the cellar, and at the end taste three to five wines with olives and sobrassada. The shop has all vintages, including the pricier reservas you will not find in supermarkets. If you want more: Jose Luis Ferrer is 500 meters down the road, the second major bodega in town.
