Alcúdia is the town with the completely preserved medieval wall you can walk on top of. That alone is worth it (view of Pollença bay from above). Inside narrow alleys, a few good restaurants, the Roman excavation Pollentia (small but real), and the market that fills half the old town on Tuesdays and Sundays. Sunday market is more touristy, Tuesday more local. Evenings the old town is quiet, most visitors drive back to Playa de Muro (long flat sandy beach 5 minutes by car). Alcúdia is the ideal half-day stop if you are staying in the Pollença/Can Picafort area.
