Raixa is one of those fincas you should know and almost nobody has on their radar. Sits on the road to Bunyola, 15 minutes from Palma, and has Italian-style gardens that Cardinal Despuig had built in the 18th century. Terraces with water basins stepping down, cypresses, orange groves, and a view of the Tramuntana that is free (entry too). The Consell de Mallorca renovated the estate, inside a small museum on the finca's history. One hour is enough for the loop, then continue to Bunyola (good cafe on the square) or up to Orient through the prettiest valley on the island.
