Puig de Randa is the single mountain that sticks out of the flat center of the island, 542 meters high, with three monasteries at different levels. At the top Santuari de Cura with a terrace from which you see the entire island, on clear days all the way to Cabrera and Menorca. You can drive up (narrow but paved road) or hike (from the village Randa, 45 minutes, easy). At the top a restaurant in the monastery that cooks surprisingly well. Ramon Llull wrote his works here in the 13th century, the library still exists. Combines well with Algaida (10 minutes, the Gordiola glass factory and good restaurants).
