Cap de Formentor is the lighthouse at the island's northern tip, reached via one of the curviest roads in the Mediterranean. Twenty kilometers of serpentines from Port de Pollença, three major viewpoints on the way (Mirador Es Colomer is the most spectacular, 232 meters straight down to the water). Since summer 2026 there is an access restriction between June and September, then only shuttle bus or taxi, private cars barred after 10 AM. In spring and autumn you can still drive freely, and that is when it is best. At the lighthouse itself: one bar, the wide view, the sea. Head back before sunset, the return in the dark is rough.
